Namche Bazaar-is the small and beautiful town which is the gateway to Khumbu region. This is the second day of your trip to Nepal and it will begin with a fascinating sightseeing tour around Kathmandu Valley. Sightseeing tour includes visit around World heritage site such as Pashupatinath Temple, Swoayambunath (Monkey Temple), Kathmandu durbar square, Patan Durbar Square any many more. After finishing sightseeing there will be a meeting in the evening in our office about the trek. The Trek leader will explain to you about the trek and how to prepare for it. Leaving hotel early in the morning we will catch flight of Lukla from Kathmandu airport. Flight from Kathmandu up to Lukla is so amazing. After landing in Lukla you can see the amazing views of Himalayan chain surrounding the Lukla village. We will meet our rest of the crew members in Lukla and march ahead towards Phakding which is about 3-4 hours of hike. Overnight stay at Phakding.

After breakfast, we will move ahead to Namche Bazaar from Phakding. From Phakding the trail is followed by several beautiful villages like Jorsale and Monjo. Monjo village is the gateway Point of Sagarmatha National Park. Crossing through the National Park the trail finally takes us to Namche. While trekking through the national park numerous species of flora and fauna can be explored. Namche Bazaar is small and beautiful where all the facilities of lodges, markets, etc. are available. Beautiful views of Thamserku Peak and Kongdi Ri Himal can be seen from Namche. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.

Acclimatization is very important while trekking in higher altitude. Namche is the best place for acclimatization as the sights around here are spectacular. Today our next destination from Namche is Tengboche which takes about 5-6 hours. Ascending from Namche towards Tengboche we can experience scenic beauty during the trail. Following the trail along the right side of Dudhkoshi River you can reach Tengboche village. From Namche to Tengboche the trail is filled with amazing natural beauty of hills, rivers and mountains. After reaching Tengboche you will be surprised after seeing the beauty of its surrounding. Largest Monastery of Khumbu Region-Tengboche Monastery is located in this village. Similarly great views of Ama Dablam, Everest and other small ranges can be observed from Tengboche. Overnight stay at Tengboche.Overnight at guesthouse.

First we descend from Tengboche and come across through lush forest of birch and rhododendron trees. Then after we will cross Imja River and March ahead towards Debuche. Then from Debuche we will move towards Pangboche village. Hiking through the upper Pangboche trail, we admire the views of Himalayan vistas and Monasteries. Before ascending to Dingboche we have to come across through Imja valley and Lobuche River. Overnight stay at Dingboche.

This is another day of acclimatization in this trek which helps us further while climbing higher altitude. Though it may be acclimatization day we have to move around for best acclimatization. Chukkung valley is the best place for acclimatization but if you want we can hike up to Nagerjun from where we can witness marvelous peaks like Lobuche East (6119m), Lobuche West (6145m), Thamserku (6608m), and Ama Dablam (6856m). While returning back to Dingboche the trail is filled with natural beauty. Overnight stay at Dingboche.

It is short Journey from Dingboche to Lobuche via Duglha about 5-6 hours hike. At the beginning of the trail we enjoy the company of Himalayan vistas an all sides. As we pass the narrow valley near to Dusa, Mt. Pumori can be observed. As the trail continues Mt. Pumori begins to disappear. Then before ascending Duglha we have to cross a small stream. Duglha is a small village, with huge strand of prayer flags hung across the valley. After reaching this village we can roam around and experience the beautiful sight. The trail continues through boulder-strewn slopes as we climb Chupki Lhara ridge from where you can enjoy the best views of Himalayan massif. On the top of this ridge number of prayer flags and stones are kept in the memory of the climber who lost their life during the climb of Mt. Everest. As the trekking trail drops down further amazing views of Khumbutse, Lingtren and many more peaks can be seen. Overnight stay at Lobuche.

Today is our important day of our trekking that we are going to visit Everest base camp and have close up views of world’s tallest peak-Mt. Everest. The trail is a bit mix up as we have to ascend and descend mostly in glacier path. We can find many zigzag on rough terrains. After reaching the base camp we admire the great views of Mt. Everest and Khumbu glacier. Similarly stunning views of Nuptse, Khumbutse, and Pumori Mountain can be experienced. After enjoying the beauties from the Base camp our trail continues towards Gorakchep to spend overnight. Overnight stay at Gorakshep.

Kalapathhar is another best view point from where dazzling views of snowcapped peaks can be observed. Waking early in the morning we will start walking on a fairly steep trail. The weather will be very cold with chilly winds outside. As we ascend up the hill peaks like Lingtren, Khumbutse and Changtse can be seen. After reaching at the top of Kalapathhar we can see the 360 degree views of Mt. Everest and other small peaks. After spending some precious time out there, we will return back to Gorak Shep. Then after descending down to Gorakshep we will move towards Pheriche. Overnight stay at Pheriche.

From Pheriche, we have lots of ups and downs through the trails. We will descend down enjoying the company of beautiful rhododendron and juniper forests. We also have to cross a bridge over the Dudhkoshi River. Then again we descend down through the pine forests where we can see mountain goats, pheasants and other wild animals. Before reaching Namche further we have to come across the forests. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.

Following the trail of rocky terrain we will start our trek from Namche. Mostly we have to walk downhill on the trail walking alongside the Dudhkoshi River. Best Season for Everest base camp trek

Trek to Everest base camp starts from the Kathmandu with a short flight to Lukla. At that flight, sometime flight will be a delay and canceled due to the bad weather. But if you take a shared helicopter with some extra pay to get Lukla otherwise if you have extra time you will try the next day for your flight. That is not so big problem for trekking.

Normally on Everest base camp trek is 6-7 hours (approx) walking period every day from the camp to camp. If you do not comfort to complete your day to reach final of the day destination won’t be any problem because there is a teahouse on the way of your daily route to food and lodge for your night.

On  Everest base camp trek, you will get to 5545m (Kala Patthar) highest altitude on the way. When you get More than 4000m high, there is some risk of high altitude sickness. But if you care your health, maintain your space of walking range and drink more water on the way of your trekking you will avoid this risk. In case of emergency, you will take a helicopter (which is available any time) for your treatment and rescue.

Some people have different thinking so some people will want to get trekking in the low season which times not comfortable for our body. Climate is not good.   • Trekking requires lots of willpower, tolerance of harsh conditions and reasonable fitness, good health and physical condition. It is vital that participants with pre-existing medical problems or conditions make these known to the time of booking. But trekking is not the climbing trip so no needs any technical experience. 

  • There is no particular age limit for trekking in Nepal Himalaya at all. Anyone with outdoor attitude and passion for walking are fit for trekking. But, you are expected to have good physical fitness, positive attitude and endurance. Having said that additional requirements depend on the type and nature of treks you choose. 

  • Nepal is, undoubtedly, a naturally beautiful country that enjoys pleasant weather round the year. We have main two seasons for trekking. The best months are September, October & November during the Autumn season and March, April & May during the spring season are consider as the best seasons for attempting trekking, although we do have departures during some other months as well because we would like to offer some opportunities for some people who can not make their holidays during Spring and Autumn. The best months has been defined due to their nature of best visibility and best weather condition other then. 

  • The government of Nepal no longer requires a trekking permit for Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, and some other regions; however, conservation permit or National park permits are required for these regions. There are few restricted trekking areas in Nepal, where trekking permits are required. Trekking permit is a special permission given to you by the Nepalese government to visit the restricted areas.

  • The duration of the trek depends on your interests and where you want to go. Generally, your trek can range from 6-7 days to month time or longer periods if you wish. Even the same trek can be done in a different duration for different trekkers depending on their wishes and interests on the route. 

  • In the Tea House trekking arrangement overnight halts with dinner and breakfast will be in Tea-Houses (Lodges) and lunches in local restaurants en-route. We will provide you with hygienic food prepared by our cook on the camping trek arrangements. Most of the cooks in the local teahouses are not well trained but have enough experience. If the group required our well-trained cooks with the crew even on the lodge trek we are more delighted to take with an additional cost.

  • In the trekking areas most lodges serve boiled and filtered water, which is generally safe, we suggest a drop of iodine for safe water. Make sure your water is boiled or treated with iodine. Iodine is 100% effective in killing water-borne bacteria. We strongly recommend however that you bring your own filter water bottle so that you will have convenient access to clean water at all times. And it will be possible to buy the bottle water also on the way.

  • Most of the trekking areas in Everest we get electricity. You can charge your camera batteries. 

  • Our guides are trained in first aid and can deal with most of the basic ailments that can occur during a trek. If an emergency occurs, professional help from a rescue organization will be needed. That is why every client should have their own emergency rescue and health insurance arranged before coming to Nepal. 

  • Altitude illness, AMS is a very unpredictable condition, but all of our guides are very experienced with the symptoms and treatment of AMS. Every time our guides are ready to help you. We do, however, strongly advise people with known heart, lungs or blood diseases to consult their doctor before trekking.

  • That depends on the type of trek. Shorter treks at low altitudes can be done in running shoes while longer, more demanding treks at high altitudes require sturdy trekking or hiking boots. It is best to buy shoes and boots before arriving in Nepal, and to break them in before arriving for your trek. 

  • While you traveling Himalayan country this is most essential to know what to bring with you and what are the essential clothing and equipments during the travel. For evening/night/morning use clothes, Sun Hat, casual warm cloth for day use, some pairs of good quality shocks. Apart from above please bring- slippers, suntan-lotions and trekkers personal medication.   Regarding personal equipment you need to bring with you a pair of well broken trek Boot, sleeping bag, down-Jacket, pullovers, neck scarves, etc. 

  • There are telephones in many villages along the popular trekking routes from where you can make international calls.
