    Good to Know

Best Times for Everest Base Camp Trek Seniors

One of the best factors while trekking is the weather conditions. Trekkers should be careful of the weather before doing anything in advance. The ideal season for trekking is- Spring and Autumn Season.

Spring Season: This season falls under March and continues till May. The weather during this season is perfectly clear and sunny. If someone books a helicopter tour during these months, they’ll get to see the majestic view of many high peaks.

Autumn Season: The next season, perfect for trekking, is autumn, beginning at the September-November. This month, there are mostly sunny days with clear blue skies and some low temperatures.

There are other seasons, as well as monsoon and winter seasons.

Monsoon season (Mid-July- Mid-September) is not preferred by the trekkers. The trails are usually slippery and filled with dirt. There is a high chance of getting injured as the result of a slippery path.

Similarly, the winter weather drops to the freezing point at night (December- February). Moreover, the trails are usually covered with snow which leads to severe injuries and could even be resulting in death.

    Difficulties

Visits to EBC are generally  risk-free as those to your local hiking trail or the closest spot of breathtaking natural beauty at home. And we’ve had more than our fair share of retired people  take on the difficult journey to base camp.

He/She still had to prepare physically for the longest walk they had ever undertaken. Walking three times per week for 12–15 kilometers will help the cause. So, regardless of your age and ability, if you still need to travel and want to visit Mount Everest, you can rest assured that it is completely safe. You should also consult  your doctor before undertaking a trek to Mt Everest.

    Accommodation

During the trek to Everest, you will be accommodated to the best facility we have here. Our accommodation plan is that our representative will take you to the assigned hotel which will lack for nothing.

Our hotels in Kathmandu are equipped with modern facilities. Even in remote places like Lukla we will go to the tea houses that have quality food and a lodge system. We also stayed at  Everest View Hotel where you served tasty warm food and also enjoyed the lovely views of Mt Everest and Kala Patthaar.
