Good to Know

Best Time

Weather in the Himalayas is also tends to be varied at times, and the best trekking seasons are usually determined by the beginning of the summer monsoon. In order to avoid the wettest conditions, many hikers travel at the spring, which occurs from February to March.

This is the time of year when wildflowers are at the bloom and temperatures are at their most comfortable. Other trekkers could prefer to tackle the Everest Three Passes Trek during the autumn season, which is between September and November.

This is perhaps the best time for the year for crisp days and clear mountain views. Winter treks at  the Everest region are also possible, but snowfall accumulation at the mountain passes of Kongma La, Cho La, and Renjo La could render the going treacherous.

We also typically recommend against hiking at  the Everest Three Passes Trek during summer. If your schedule only allows you to visit Nepal during the summer or winter, Alpine Ramble Treks will be happy to arrange the customized itinerary to plan at the most rewarding adventure possible.

Food and Accommodations

Food

Trekking in the Himalayas is an amazing experience that could last a lifetime. We need a solid diet and hygienic foods to keep us strong and energized. We have to trek in the mountain, our body the good level of diet foods such as protein and carbohydrates to maintain the fitness for the trekking ahead.

At the tea houses, the menu has plenty of non-veg items mentioned but officially any of the meats are not in our list of recommendations because the meat in the mountain such as high areas is un hygienic  and healthy. However, we would like to persuade you to avoid taking meat, Alcoholic drinks, and smoking.’

Accommodations

Accommodations at the mountain are very simple at tea hoses. The rooms typically only 2- 3 single beds with nice and warm blankets, pillows, comfortable matrices which is attached bathrooms (not everywhere), and nice views. However, a singles private room will be provided at the trek without any extra cost for solo female trekkers.During the trek, we will also ensure and accommodate you to the best available tea houses with great views from the mountain and sceneries.
