Pokalde Peak is situated in the Khumbu region and considered one of the beautiful peaks of this region. Pokalde peak climbing is easy anyone who is really interested can climb this peak. A fit and acclimatized group with appropriate leadership can easily climb Pokalde Peak in half a day. This peak climbing is suitable for those who want to collect experience by climbing snow covered easy peak without ice axes and crampons. Easy climbing and impressive view from its summit attracts all the climbers. From its summit beautiful towering snowy peaks of South East, North West and West can be seen. As it is located in the Everest region which is also known as Khumbu region attracts the climbers and trekkers all around the world by its natural beauty. Everest region offers the panoramic views of beautiful mountains such as Everest (8848m.), Shishapangma (8035m.), Gosainthan (8013m.), Chooyu (8201m.), Lhotse (8516m.), Makalu (843m.), Mera peak (6476m.), Island peak (6189m.), Nuptse peak (7,855m.), Amadablam (6812m.) which give the eye pleasing and heart taking pleasure to every climbers. The route of this peak goes through the beautiful forest of pine, juniper and rhododendron which make their journey untried. On the way trekkers crosses the beautiful falls, calm lakes, immaculate Rivers and sacred monasteries which mark this journey as an unforgettable moment of their life. Sherpa ethnic people are the main inhabitants of this region, the route goes through their villages and these people are very humble and helpful. Modest Sherpa people make warm welcome to their guests with their ever smiling face. Sherpa ethnic people are very rich in their culture and festivals if the climbers are interested about their culture and festivals they can easily participate with them in their culture this remarkable events knocks you all over of your life. Our trek to Pokalde summit starts from Lukla. We will reach to Pokalde base camp after completing the adventurous journey of Phakding, Namche bazaar, Tehgboche, Periche, Lobuche, Gorekshep, Everest Base Camp and Chhukung. Pokalde Peak Base camp will be set up near the lakes below the Kongma La pass. We climb to a rocky pass and follow beautiful snow ridge and cross rocky pinnacles. We continue following the ridge to a little more difficult climb through stones and finally to the narrow rocky summit. After admiring the beautiful mountains views from its summit we will return back to Lukla via same route.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01Kathmandu: Arrive in Kathmandu, Everest base camp trek make you warm welcome at Airport & transfer you to hotel. You will have leisure time, in evening dinner at a typical Nepalese Restaurant. Stay O/N in hotel.

Day 02Free day, preparation day for peak expedition: You will take peak expedition class organize by Everest base camp trek in the morning. In day time you will go for a guided tour of the amazing sights in the Kathmandu Valley. You can visit Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Temple, Pashupatinath and the largest Boudhanath Stupa. Stay O/N in hotel.

Day 03Katmandu-Lukla-Phakding: 35 min flight and 3-4 hours trek: Early morning you will take flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. This flight is more interesting because you can see the most beautiful mountains of Nepal from the helicopter. The trek starts from Lukla, passes Chaurikharka village, and makes a descent towards the Dudhkoshi Ghat. The trail follows the strict bank of the Dudhkoshi River until camp at Phakding is reached. Stay O/N at guesthouse.

Day 04Phakding-Namche Bazaar: 5-6 hours trek: The trail cross Dudhkosi River through a long suspension bridge then trail leads you crossing side by side along the river to Hilary's Suspension Bridge. The trail further climbs from here to Namche Bazaar. Stay O/N at lodge.

Day 05Namche Bazaar, rest day: Namche bazaar is known as gate way to Mount Everest and this is the very beautiful to visit and stay. You can spend the day taking a day walk hike to Thame, by visiting Khunde or by relaxing and exploring Namche Bazaar.

Day 06Trek to Tengboche Monastery: 5 hours trek: from Namche bazaar you will move to Tengboche monastery and this is the very beautiful monastery of this region. Your guide will explain in detail about the local monastery situated here. The group will be taken to observe a prayer ceremony either in the evening or morning depending on how the days trekking went. Stay O/N at guesthouse.

Day 07Trek to Pheriche, 4 -5 hours trek: We descend for half an hour to river side through pleasant forest, cross the river and start trekking up towards opposite hill and landscapes starts more dry and desert afterwards. We will cross a traditional and cultural Sherpa village Pangboche where we can see a close up daily activities of Sherpa people. After this, we make a gradual up towards a small hill afterwards trail goes to wide mountain valley called Pheriche. This is a nice big village located on the riverside. Stay O/N at guesthouse.

Day 08Trek to Lobuche, 5-6 hours trek: We start easy and straight walking towards left corner of the river and make a steady walk up to reach Dungla. After lunch, the trek goes from Dughla directly up to the Khumbu Glacier for an hour, then reach to the village of Lobuche from here effects of the altitude will seems in colder nights. Stay O/N at guesthouse.

Day 09Trek to Gorek shep, 3/4 hours trek: The trek continues ascend to Gorekshep. It takes 3/4 hours walking up to Kala Pattar this small peak offers the stunning glimpse of Mt. Everest, Pumori and Ama Dablam and other beautiful peaks of this region. Stay O/N at tent camp.

Day 10Visit Everest Base Camp & Trek back to Lobuche, 6-7 hours trek: This day we will reach to the Base Camp of Mt. Everest walking through rocky and glacial trails where climbers gather for summiting Everest. After admiring the beautiful mountains from Everest base camp we will return to Lobuche village. Stay O/N at guesthouse.

Day 11Trek to Chhukung, 5-6 hours trek: we will go trek via Khumbu Glacier and Kongma La Base Camp then continues ascending to Kongma pass then descending a gradual walks up the Imja valley to Chhukung a small summer settlement. Overnight in Chhukung (4,730m/15,518ft) where you make final preparation for climbing. Stay O/N at lodge.

Day 12Chhukung to Pokalde Base Camp, 3 -4 hours trek: From Chhukung we will reach to Pokalde base camp after completing 3/4 hours adventurous trek. Here we will make the final preparation for the climbing of this peak. Stay O/N at tent camp.

Day 13Climb the peak and back Chhukung: From its base camp we will gradually climb this peak. Though this peak climbing is not so difficult but it has snow covered rocks so everyone should be conscious while climbing. From its summit beautiful towering snowy peaks of South East, North West and West can be seen. After admiring the beautiful scenery from its summit we will return back to Chhukung. Stay O/N at lodge.

Day 14Chhukung / Dingboche 5/6 hours trek: From Chhukung we will descend to Dingboche through scrub junipers and around Mani stones as it follows the hillside along with beautiful scene and scenery of this region. This is the Sherpa village so here we can see the typical Sherpa life style. Stay O/N at guesthouse.

Day 15Trek to Tengboche, 6/7 hours trek: The trail makes a gradual descend through scrub junipers and around Mani stones as it follows the hillside. The trail passes many Mani walls in deep rhododendron forests where crossing after the Imja khola, the trail climbs many carved Mani stones to Pangboche. Pangboche Gompa is the oldest in Khumbu; a visit will be well worth. Walk down to the valley from where the trail is shallower through alpine meadows. Followed by climb gradually up to Tengboche where the biggest monastery lies in the whole of Khumbu. Stay O/N at guest house.

Day 16Trek to Namche Bazaar, 5/6 hours trek: Walk down through several monasteries and continue down until you reach Phunki Tenga. Climb up gradually through a forest. Once you are out of the forest, you will be walking along a ridge from where you can see down on your left some of the deepest gorges of Nepal. In spring, the rhododendrons will look superb making the valley even more beautiful. We will reach to Namche bazaar. Stay O/N at lodge.

Day 17Trek to Lukla, 5/6 hours trek: Trek back to Lukla through the same trail, make celebration for the successful expedition of this peak with singing and dancing. Stay O/N at lodge.

Day 18Morning flight to Kathmandu from Lukla: today you can enjoy with the stunning glimpse of the snow capped peaks which you have recently visited on the 35 minute Scenic flight back to Kathmandu. Stay O/N in hotel.

Day 19Leisure day in Kathmandu: this day is free for you to do some desire activities in Kathmandu such as shopping, visiting and enjoying with friends. Stay O/N in hotel.

Day 20Transfer to international airport: This day we will transfer to airport for your onward destination.
