Sherpani Col Ama Lapcha Pass Trek is the most challenging pass trek through the tranquil and untouched route to the Makalu trekking region. In this trek you reach at the altitude of 6135m at Sherpani col which is the remote and less crowed tourist area of Makalu region. It is suitable for those who seek the adventurous and challenging trekking trail in the tranquil and undamaged Himalayan region. It gives the experience of crossing high pass which requires the knowledge of climbing for how to fix rope, use of hammer, ice-shock and crampon, setting the climbing equipments, knowledge of safety and strong physical fitness. In this trek you see the excellent view of the Mt. Makalu (8463m.), Mt Everest (8848m.), Mt. Lhotse 8416m, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Nuptse, Baruntse and Kanchenjunga etc. This trekking region is protected by Makalu Barun National Park. In this trek trekkers can explore the varieties of flora and fauna, culture of the ethnic people.
Sherpani col Ama Lapcha Pass Trek difficult trekking trail which takes trekkers through the Nepal’s most difficult cliff passes like -Sherpani Col, West Col and Amphu Lapcha La Pass. This trek begins Tumlingtar and follows the beautiful Arun river valley through the Makalu Barun National park. Arun valley is the deepest valley of the world which is the haven of more than 800 species of birds. Here you also find the rare bird Spiny Babler which is only found in Nepal. During the trek you can encounter the rare red panda, musk deer, ghoral, Himalayan Tahr and leopard in the Makalu Barun National Park. This trekking gives the lifetime memory to the trekkers. During the winter season this region receives heavy snow fall and there is the risk of avalanche. So the best time to go for the Sherpani col Ama Lapcha Pass Trek is from mid-March to May and September to Mid-December.

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu You arrive in Kathmandu and you meet our representative in the airport who will take you to your hotel in the heart of Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02Kathmandu City Tour Today you visit different historical and cultural sites of the Kathmandu valley with our guide. In the morning after having breakfast you go visit Buddhist and Hindu temples Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, which reflect the local culture and tradition of Nepalese society. Then in the afternoon you visit Kathmandu Durbar square and Patan durbar square. In the evening you will return to the Hotel.
Day 03Flight to Tumlingtar and trek to Khandbari From Kathmandu, early in the morning, you take a flight to Tumlingtar air strip from where you start trekking. Then you we walk up to Khandbari which is the district headquarter of Shankhuwasabha
Day 04Khadbari to Chichila (1,830m.) This day from we pass through many small picturesque villages, bamboo groves and a rhododendron forest to reach Chichila. Chichila is a small settlement of Gurungs where you can explore their culture and lifestyle.
Day 05Chichila to Num (1,490m.) This day we ascend and descend hills with the beautiful views of the White Mountains like Makalu and its surrounding. After reaching the Num we set up camp. Overnight at camp.
Day 06Num to Sedawa (1460 m.) This day from Num we descend in the steep rocky path to Lumbang. While descending you see small terraced farm planted with corn and barley. Then we ascend to Sedua in a tough path. Overnight at Camp
Day 07Sedawa to Tashi gaon (2070m.) This day we walk through the large meadows and cross several streams. Finally we ascend to the Sherpa village of Tashi Gaon, the last permanent settlement in the valley.
Day 08Tashi gaun to Kauma Danda (3470m.) From Tashi Gaun we follow a steep ascent through sparse forests along the ridge over a hillock and then descend slightly to Kauma at 3,470 m. overnight at Camp.
Day 09Kauma Danda to Mumbuk (3570m.) We again start today with a steep climb then through rhododendron forests to the top of the ridge. We have the excellent views of Chamlang (7,290 m.) Peak 6 (6,739 m.) and Peak 7 (6,105 m.). Then we will have a final descent through a forest of firs and rhododendrons to Mumbuk. Overnight at camp.
Day 10Mumbuk to Nehe Kharka via Tutu-La pass (4075m.) Today from Mumbuk we descend steeply into a gully with a stream through rocky trail and sometimes muddy terrain, as it leads up the glacial valley. From here we can have good views of Peak 6. Nhe Kharka is located on a large open grassy plain at an elevation of 3000 m. from here you will have great mountain views. Overnight at camp.
Day 11Nehe Kharka to Sherson (4615m.) This day is difficult as we have to walk long hours. We have to climb up for several hours.
Day 12Sherson to Makalu Base Camp (4800m.) Today we head to Makalu Base camp. From the camp we see the close up view of the Makalu, the sixth highest mountain of the world as well as the surrounding mountains.
Day 13Makalu Base Camp to French Camp.
Day 14French Camp to East Col Camp.
Day 15High Camp to Baruntse basecamp via Sherpani Col (5700m.)
Day 16Baruntse base camp (5,700m.) to Seto Pokhari
Day 17Seto Pokhari to Ambhulabch high camp (5,400m.)
Day 18Cross Amphu Laptsa pass (5,850m.) then trek to Imja valley (5100m.) This day we enter the Everest region trekking trail. We entered the Imja valle where we set up camp and stay overnight.
Day 19Chhukung to Tengboche. This day from the valley we descend down to Tengboche. We pass through the forest of rhododendron and pine enjoying the views of the snow clad mountains. in Tengboche we visit the Monestry which is considered as the highest mountain of the world.
Day 20Tengboche to Namche (3440 m.) We descend on the steep path to the Dudh Kosi and then climb up to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 21Namche to Lukla (2840 m.) Finally we return to Lukla where the trek began, which will seem like a lifetime ago. Enjoying time to reflect on the trek as a group and the personal achievement of all those who took part. Also giving you time to explore the town. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 22Flight to Kathmandu Enjoying your last glimpse of the mountains you have recently visited for one last time on the 35 minute Scenic flight back to Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu we are met and transferred back to our starting hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 23Leisure day in Kathmandu. It's also spare day in case of bad weather in Lukla.
Day 24Departure. The trip ends, our Airport Representative will drop you to the Kathmandu International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal.
